Rebalance Now has a full-time team and an honorary Supervisory Board. The Executive Director manages the organisation, while the Supervisory Board advises on the strategic direction and monitors the Executive Director.

Executive Director
co-founded LobbyControl. With Rebalance Now, he has launched a new project that aims to limit corporate power and advocates for a diverse economy. He helped set up the European Anti-Monopoly Network in 2022 and is co-coordinator of the initiative “Konzernmacht beschränken”, which campaigns for a more balanced distribution of power and resources in the economy. Aline Blankertz
Tech Economy Lead
works on how the power of technology companies can be restricted and on how competition economics analyses needs to evolve. She has been working for many years on tech markets, platform regulation and alternatives for public interest, including at Wikimedia Deutschland, the think tank interface and the economic consultancy Oxera. Max Bank
EU Competition Lead
He is an economic historian and co-founder of Rebalance Now. He represents Rebalance Now on issues related to EU competition policy in Brussels. In recent years, he has worked at LobbyControl on the market power and lobbying influence of tech companies. Among other things, he followed the legislative process for the Digital Markets Act (DMA) and examined Amazon’s monopoly power. In 2022, he organized the “Rebalancing Power: From Monopolies to Democratic Economies” conference in Berlin. Contact: max.bank (at) rebalance-now.de
Claudia Lucas
Finance Officer
is responsible for managing and overseeing financial processes at Rebalance Now, member support, and the further development of administrative operations. As a regional studies scholar specializing in Latin America with a focus on economics, she has many years of experience in academic and quality management as well as project administration. Most recently, she was responsible for financial controlling of several EU projects at the Max Weber Foundation.

Brianna Rock
Research Lead
She develops evidence-based research on corporate power in dominant technology markets and the tools available to effectively address it. Her work focuses on structural remedies, accounting and financial analysis for competition enforcement, and emerging forms of market power that fall beyond traditional antitrust frameworks. She has a masters in public policy from the Hertie School in Berlin and has supported different organizations in research and analysis.

Supervisory Board
Nelly Grotefendt
is a freelance consultant and works in the healthcare sector. Previously she worked as a consultant for economic and trade policy at Forum Environment and Development. In 2018, she co-founded the “Konzernmacht beschränken” initiative. She is supporting Rebalance Now in a private capacity.
Tina Haupt
works at WEED – World Economy, Ecology & Development on economic and development policy issues such as foreign trade promotion and corporate power. She organised a conference on corporate power in November 2023.
Sebastian Philipps
is a management consultant and co-founder of Better Earth. He previously worked for a think tank, the Asian Development Bank, Accenture Strategy and in the German SME sector. He supports Rebalance Now in a private capacity.
